There was no way I was going to be able to relax in a room that hot
Last weekend, I had to transfer to a current apartment, however at this point in our life, I am still leasing! It seems like every year I am forced to pack our whole life into boxes, shuttle the boxes about 15 minutes down the street, and unpack it all again. I am absolutely getting sick of moving all the time, but even though I have never certainly appreciated the stress of moving, this is easily the worst transfer I’ve had yet. My loft was situated on the sixth floor of the building, and there is no elevator, then this made it nearly impossible to transfer anything greater than a suitcase. It was extremely exhausting, but that’s not even the worst part. The weather was unusually moderate that afternoon, I’m talking like eighty several degrees and sunny. It felt like the sunlight was gonna set me on fire at one point! The people I was with and I were moving things in and out of the moderate sunlight for minutes. This wouldn’t have been so poor if the people I was with and I had access to a/c, but of course the building had not yet kicked on the a/c for the season. It made sense given that this was the first absolutely moderate afternoon of the year, but it made things so much worse for us, then when the people I was with and I finally got done with the move, I couldn’t even stay in the apartment. I was so moderate and dehydrated that I was desperate for some cool air. There was no way I was going to be able to relax in a room that hot. The people I was with and I ended up going to a eating establishment and sitting in the air conditioned dining room for almost several minutes. I swear, I am never moving again! It’s not worth the struggle.
